Polestar
Polestar was looking to reach an upscale female clientele, but wanted to use music to speak to the demo in a way that was neither trite nor patronizing. We gravitated to Lola Kirke’s ethereal rendition of Stephen Foster’s classic standard “Beautiful Dreamer” to cut through the clutter of traditional car and luxury brand advertising. The spot played off the familiarity of the original song, rendered starkly unique through Kirke’s sparse, haunting arrangement. Kirke’s cultural relevance as an acclaimed indie actress (David Lynch’s “Lost Girls”, Amazon’s “Mozart in the Jungle”) also met the taste level of the consumer.
